"I burnt the plywood elements in the fireplace and decided to use metal. The rest is history."Janusz Sikora, Founder & Designer
J.Sikora Design Philosophy:
At J.Sikora, every turntable and tonearm reflects Janusz Sikora's many decades of metallurgical expertise. Bronze, brass, aluminum, cast iron, and stainless steel are combined in precise proportions, each metal chosen for acoustic properties that complement and balance the others. There is no formula for these combinations; everything emerges from patient experimentation with sound. This philosophy extends to every element, from the brass and bronze clamp to the Kevlar tonearm tube requiring watchmaker precision to fabricate. Where other manufacturers accept materials that age, J.Sikora builds from elements that remain constant, each turntable hand-built for listeners who expect their source to reveal everything in the groove.

Since 2007
Founded in 2007 by Janusz Sikora in Lublin, Poland, J.Sikora emerged from a moment of profound disappointment. After purchasing his first high-end turntable from a prestigious brand, Sikora, an audiophile with over 40 years of passion and decades of metallurgical expertise, expected revelation but found mediocrity. Unable to coax acceptable performance from the plywood construction, he took it apart to understand why it failed. The answer was clear: the materials themselves were the limitation. "I burnt the plywood elements in the fireplace and decided to use metal. The rest is history." Drawing on 37 years of experience in non-ferrous metals from his metalworking company established in 1982, Sikora built his first turntable for himself, combining bronze, brass, aluminum, and cast iron in precise proportions that would never age, never dry, and never change their sonic character. Audiophile friends who heard it demanded their own. By 2014, father and son Janusz and Robert Sikora debuted at the Warsaw Audio Show, and J.Sikora turntables and tonearms quickly earned Stereophile "A Class" ratings and international acclaim as instruments that capture every nuance of the original recording.
The perfect recipe
Innovation and Craftsmanship
Metallurgical Precision
Janusz Sikora's background in metallurgy informs every turntable in the line. Bronze, brass, aluminum, cast iron, and stainless steel are combined in deliberate layers, each material chosen for its resonant frequency and arranged to dissipate vibrations progressively from base to platter. The result is a composite structure that remains sonically stable for decades, unaffected by the aging that compromises wood or polymer
Mass and Isolation: Immovable Precision
J.Sikora turntables embrace mass loading as a first principle. The flagship Reference weighs 253 pounds, its 40-pound Delrin and cast-iron platter riding on an inverted ceramic ball bearing for virtually friction-free rotation. DC motors with quartz-locked speed control (up to four in the Reference) eliminate microscopic speed variations. External vibrations simply cannot move what physics has anchored.
The Kevlar Tonearm
The KV series introduced the first production tonearm with a Kevlar armtube, a material that offers exceptional stiffness at minimal weight with inherent energy absorption. Manufacturing the conical tube required developing an entirely new fabrication process. The oil-damped unipivot design earned Stereophile Class A recognition and pairs naturally with J.Sikora turntables, sharing the same philosophy of combining materials to control resonance at its source.
