The Rega Fono MC MK4 is a high-quality moving coil (MC) phono stage designed to optimize the performance of low-output MC cartridges. It offers adjustable gain and loading settings via rear-panel dip switches, ensuring compatibility with various MC cartridges. Housed in a newly redesigned aluminum case, it matches Rega's latest electronic components. The Fono MC MK4 utilizes Linear Systems' low-noise LSK389 FET in a discrete input stage and incorporates a MUSE operational amplifier in the RIAA equalization circuit for accurate sound reproduction.
